Quinta das Malvas

The recently opened bed and breakfast at Quinta das Malvas is one of the finest properties in Funchal, and indeed Madeira. Boasting fine views and a luxurious interior this historic house goes back to the 19th century. Literally a Quinta within a Quinta this property was recently renovated in 2004 to a high standard. It offers guests a refined atmosphere for the discerning traveller looking for a unique place to stay.

With 6 bedrooms, each named after one of the herbs that grows on the Quinta, the house oozes charisma and charm. With wooden floors and a spacious interior, guests can enjoy views onto the garden and vineyard. All rooms have en-suite bathrooms (one bedroom shares bathroom with another) and we offer a unit of two bedrooms with an interlinking bathroom ideal for a family of four.

Our team works to offer guests the simple pleasures in life, a good healthy breakfast as well as a range of satisfying menus for dinner, ordered in advance. Guests may use the kitchen should they wish or if they are looking for a more personalised touch we can arrange for our chef to come in and cook a special meal.

Guests have direct access to Quinta de Santa Luzia, (there is a natural entrance from Malvas onto the property).

Facilities include: Bed and breakfast, FREE WiFi, optional use of kitchen for evening meals, washing machine and iron, safe, DVD, TV, board games.
